Phase 2: Announcement of Winners for Traditional Southeast Asian Music Competition on Mobile Application

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (SEAMEO SPAFA) is pleased to announce the results of SEAMEO SPAFA’s Traditional Southeast Asian Music Competition on Mobile Application Phase II that took place from 15th March – 30th June 2019.

The first phase of the competition called for participants to perform in groups whilst the second phase allowed for only solo performers to submit videos of themselves playing traditional music on a mobile application.

The winners of the competition were determined by a judging committee, who assessed the submissions using the guidelines of the competition (Click here to view judging criteria) as a basis for scoring.

Congratulations to all awardees and thanks to everyone who participated in the second phase of the ‘Traditional Southeast Asian Music Competition on Mobile Application’!

ELEMENTARY STUDENTS 1st Prize: Mr Fritz Gabrielle Mendoza, St. John’s School, Brunei Darussalam

*In the Secondary and High School Student category, there was a tie for second place.

** In certain ensemble categories, only one winner was determined based on judges’ scores and submissions received.

*** The decision made by the judging committee is final.
