SEAMEO SPAFA and CRMA strengthen ties for cultural heritage

On 19 November 2024, SEAMEO SPAFA Director Mr. Khemchat Thepchai had the honour of meeting Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy (CRMA) Academic Exhibition 2024 in Nakhon Nayok Province of Thailand.

This special occasion marked a significant step towards strengthening collaboration between SEAMEO SPAFA and CRMA Research Center under Royal Patronage to promote regional education in archaeology and cultural heritage.

On behalf of SEAMEO SPAFA, SEAMEO SPAFA Centre Director presented HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn with three publications: Proceedings of the 2021 SEAMEO SPAFA International Conference; SEAMEO SPAFA Annual Report 2022-2023; and Srivijaya.

Also in attendance were: Colonel Associate Professor Dr. Surat Lertlum (Director of CRMA Research Center); Dr. Tej Boonnag (Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society); and Mr. Pongthan Sampha-ngern (Director of the Archaeology Division, Fine Arts Department Thailand).
